Yes, you can opt out if you want to. And we get it - savings are always a balancing act, making sure you have enough money to live on now while putting some aside for your future self.

If you haven't yet made any contributions, you can opt out before any money is taken. All the information you need to do this is in your Cushon welcome pack.

Once you have made your first contribution, any money you've already put into your pension will stay there* where it will be invested for the future. You won't be able to touch that money until you're 55 (rising to 57 by 2028), at which point you'll have a variety of options for how to take your money. 

*You have also the option to transfer it to another pension provider.
