CushonMe is a free service that checks five key things each day:
-
Projected returns: We see if there are other investments out there that could potentially give you a better return.
-
Performance: We look at how your investment has been doing over the last rolling 1-month period — whether it's been performing better than expected or not quite up to par. The greater the risk /return profile of your investment, the greater the percentage loss needs to be for an alert to be generated. For example, for an investment classified as Very high risk / return, an alert is generated if the percentage loss over the previous month was greater than 12%.
-
Target: We monitor whether your investment is on track to meet your goals. If the probability of it not reaching its target is 60% or higher, we'll send you an alert.
-
Risk / return: We keep an eye on whether the risk / return profile of your investment has changed due to things like market volatility or changes in your investment mix.
-
Charges: We check to see if other investments could give you similar returns but with lower charges.
We don't want to bother you with every little detail, so we only alert you when it's really worth your attention. For instance, we won't nudge you if a new fund has charges that are just 0.02% lower. But if the markets are getting shaky and there's a significant risk of loss, we'll let you know.
Every month, we'll drop you an email with a summary of all this. Plus, you can check out the daily results anytime in the NatWest Cushon app or in the CushonMe tab in your online account.
You can opt out of the CushonMe alerts at any time by updating your preferences through the settings in the NatWest Cushon app or by contacting us.
CushonMe will alert you to certain events, but you still make all your own decisions on what to do. CushonMe does not provide advice on investing.
CushonMe is only available for investments, it does not apply to cash products.
