A portfolio is where you keep all your different investments in one place. These might include funds. A fund is like a bundle that contains many different shares, bonds, or other investments.
Funds are looked after by a fund manager. When you buy a fund, you buy "units" of it. The fund manager uses your money to invest in shares and bonds for you.
